Tomorrow is webinar Wednesday and here are my top recommendations for women entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses. The National Women’s Business Council Webinar series on “Raising Voices and Impacting Policy” offers valuable resources. I recommend you check out Get Your Finances in Check, and also the advice on learning How to Navigate the COVID-19 Stimulus Package. If you are looking for some lending options, you can’t miss the role that small banks and community leaders play in providing capital to women business owners.
During this social distancing, I’ve been doing some research to share with stay-at-home moms starting their business and found useful resources on Bizlaunch and special online libraries. You might also want to try the Founders Institute and their library for startups.
Don’t forget to stop by SCORE where I am a mentor serving the Houston community. Prepare a nice cup of coffee, iced tea or chilled white wine and browse our library for pre-recorded webinars, courses on demands, local events on small business topics. You can also register for live webinars or live mentoring!
What I like about Webinars
Besides a hashtag on Instagram and Facebook to promote events, webinar Wednesday is a fast way to find the latest events on the web, it is as easy as typing the niche you work in or what you are looking for after the hashtag, and in 0.48 seconds you’ll get 6,600 results.
What I like about webinars is that I can plan in advance and register to those I can attend. For the ones, I can’t pay attention (kids and stuff if you know what I mean) I register anyway and watch the recording hours later after everyone is asleep.
Don’t forget Instagram and Facebook when looking for recommendations for free webinars. Remember that nothing is actually free, a valid email address is your entry ticket so do your research and select the ones that comply with what you are looking for (besides freebies) because you will be getting their promos right at your inbox.
