Happier & Fulfilled

Being a Lifestyle Entrepreneur helps me enjoy my midlife years studying for a Ph.D., running my business, and inspiring other women to love entrepreneurship as much as I do. It is a new approach to entrepreneurship that makes me feel happier and fulfilled.

Since I’m a globetrotter by heart, this lifestyle is a perfect match for me! Short trips, discovering new places, food and cultures make my day. I personally work from home because I love the freedom to go in and out as I need to, enjoying my family, and trying Snapchat filters!

But what exactly is a lifestyle entrepreneur?

  • A new approach to business -and life- that can make you feel happier and fulfilled.
  • It is about work-life balance.
  • Be your own boss, like having a business (a bakery, handmade items, tax preparation).
  • Freedom and flexibility to have the lifestyle you want doing what you like to do, the way you always dreamt of doing so.

Get the Lifestyle You Want

It took me a lot of years and tears to shred off the baggage of what a successful businesswoman and mother should look like. I started by viewing every decision through the lens of the most pleasant and enjoyable lifestyle I allow myself to have.

I paid attention to my dreams, needs, and wants and design a lifestyle that will make me happier and fulfilled as a mother, and a businesswoman.

If you do the same, you might surprise yourself with a fabulous lifestyle design that doesn’t require a huge amount of money. I know that this part can be difficult because most of us feel like there are just too many things we want.

So, instead of only having an endless list, try starting with a shorter list of things you would like to change in your everyday routine to feel happier and fulfilled.

  • What are the activities you want to spend more time on? (relaxing, being with family, exercise, being outdoors, traveling)
  • What are the things that you dislike and usually procrastinate about? (laundry, commuting, dishwashing, staying late at work)
  • What experiences would you like to have?

After you get some good answers, focus on one thing that you can make that will get you closer to what you want.

What can you change in your life today that will give you more space, more time, and more energy?

You can have your own digital business or become a freelancer, choosing the number of projects and hours. I have plenty of resources on how to start a business, you might find something that fits your dream lifestyle. Because that is what lifestyle entrepreneur is all about, a way of enjoying life and work.

I am a blogger, digital marketing specialist, I love writing about practical, proven strategies to pump up online businesses, and I offer reviews or introduce products and services from different brands I partner with as an affiliate.

You will see some links I provide with very cool products and services that I personally use in my everyday life or my friends and family use and I know all about it, and yes, when you choose to click on the link or buy from them I would get a commission.

I found that digital marketing, blogging, and partnering with brands as an affiliate are a good match for me, a lifestyle entrepreneur.

A Lifestyle Entrepreneur is Organized.

The secret, if you want to call it a secret, to succeed as a lifestyle entrepreneur is to set short-term goals and get them done efficiently. Of course, your business idea /project is crucial to assure that the income you need, want and dream of, becomes a reality but in order to get your business and life goals as you want, you must start by organizing your mind, your activities, and your environment.

Declutter. Reducing the clutter around you, and your environment makes a difference to the look of your home, but also the amount of space you have available and the amount of time you need to invest in maintaining the place. Having a clutter-free home/work area makes it much easier for you to be productive, it saves time when you’re looking for things, preparing videos for your social media, or writing proposals for a client. Organize your computer files, your paper files and have a system.

I would definitely recommend” rel=”sponsored nofollow”> Emily Fletcher’s Free Master class “Meditation For Super Performance”, it is a life-changing experience, especially if you don’t know how to meditate or have a “scattered” mind like me, I’m always thinking or, over-thinking more likely, and her masterclass helped me to shed off unnecessary baggage.

Learn to say no. Save time not doing things you don’t want to, it is easier said than done, believe me, it took me years learning to say no to endless chores and activities, because I felt pressured to take part in a range of activities, I was not really interested in.

This is important: Your time is crucial for scaling your business, enjoying the outdoors with your family you have to start treating it as an investment. Don’t be afraid to say no when someone invites you out and don’t feel like you have to do anything that doesn’t help you work toward your goals or bring you joy.

Make good choices. Think about the choices you make in your life and how they will likely affect your lifestyle more broadly. Will they take you closer to your wants and dreams or will they pose an extra layer of stress to get what you want or dream? If what you are about to decide gets you closer go ahead, if it imposes unhealthy levels of stress and doesn’t get you closer, then you should stop and pivot.

Plan ahead. Use ” rel=”sponsored nofollow”>calendars, planners, and ” rel=”sponsored nofollow”>organizers“> sets to keep your needs, wants, and dreams in order. Having a planning system keeps you accountable and it is easier to achieve your goals. Think about it as when you are doing some sort of exercise, or detox, you log your meals and track your activities, why? Because tracking and planning keep you on track.

Work Smarter Not Harder

One way you can get more done in less time is to multitask. Use the commute for some audiobooks, podcasts and learn new skills while on the go. You might want to consider be a freelancer, virtual assistant, or social media manager and earn some extra income on the way to and from your regular work, or from home.

Automate as much as you can. I’m not talking only about using the dishwasher instead of hand-washing dishes, use text messages or email instead of calling if you need information that is not urgent. People tend to reply faster and factual instead of having long conversations for the same answer. Of course, you should have an online scheduling page for your business where your clients can easily view your real-time availability and self-schedule their own appointments. Acuity Scheduling is a perfect option with no credit-card requirement!

Delegate and outsource in your everyday activities, it would help you with more time and achieve your goals faster. Ask your family and friends to help out – you’d be surprised how often people are willing to help when you ask nicely. You can outsource someone to help you with appointments and meetings or even to find potential traveling savings, so you can focus on your goals.

Invest one hour a day in yourself, self-care is part of your business ritual, you can’t serve others from an empty vessel. It took me many years to understand that, but finally, I invest time journaling, relaxing, focusing on my goals to be happier and fulfilled.
